Hey everyone,

at first, please excuse my english as it isnt my first language. ( if i am in the wrong section of the forum please move it. thank you )

at first let me tell you our story to give you some background infos:
we started in the wedding business in september last year just with one wedding place. a beautiful castle with lots of rooms where we used 4 rooms for renting out shops. these have been rented out quickly. after a month we decided to buy our own OS because business was started very well. We bought 2 OS, one for the castle and one for outside wedding sets. we also put a mall on the outside set sim with 6 large shops and the vendors from the old sim moved with us to the new sim. ( vendors with a good brand so we were happy to keep them :) ) everything was runing great. sales have been good in wedding business and also in the mall.

now, after the changes from LL for the OS we had to move again on one full sim. for that reason we had to close down for around 4 weeks to remodel and waiting for the full sim. i rebuilded the mall because the old one didnt fit on the new sim. classical baroque building..large open shopfronts... the mall is open for public for around 6 weeks now.. the sim for 4 weeks. all the old vendors moved with us again and the problem with this business has started...

no sales at all since the last move. some vendors told me and with some vendors i have a split script runing so i see myself. i have no idea what it can be. we have some of the best sl designers in the mall. from jewelery, wedding dresses, tuxedos, gowns and so on. so all is wedding related. from the counter in our office i know we have around 15-20 real visitors each day ( profil pic camping is in the sky ) and i know they are walking into the stores of our vendors and take a look ( if i'm there i'm watching them so i know ) .. well, there is the point i dont understand.. they are not campers, they are looking around. why do they dont buy anymore? we still have the old vendors and some new ones. if just the new ones dont sell stuff i would say their produkts doesnt fit but as the old did before and not anymore after the re-opening.. also the wedding ceremony sales went down. i rented ad boards / small shops in ballrooms/romantic areas to have some advertising but it looks like it didnt help.

everyone i ask ( vendors / friends / clients) love the new sim and mall. so i really have no idea and i dont wanna watch all our great and patience vendors walk away. so, if you have any idea what i could do i would be more than thankfull. if you wanna take a look to get an idea: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Wedding%20Roses/218/206/22

thank you all in advanced.

1. Make sure the new location is listed in Search.
2. Put the location in your Picks, and encourage all your merchants to also do this.
3. If the new owner of the old locations will allow it, put out a sign/landmark giver, "We've Moved!".
4. Hold some events at your new location...a Wedding Faire. A Valentine's Day sale.
5. Ask your merchants to put out prize givers...lucky chairs...and freebies.
6. Network with wedding planners. They can direct people to your merchants.
7. Ask your merchants to consider offering store cards, giving a 10% discount on purchases.

You are getting visitors, as you did before, but they are not buying?

If the product is the same then perhaps the issue is in how the new place is displayed?

Perhaps the old location simply had more appeal than the new shop designs? Are things as easy to find and as attractively displayed? Have you changed the theme entirely and it no longer appeals to the "regulars"? Maybe people liked the castle and don't like the new look as much.
Another thought: have you added so much stuff that the place is taking forever to rez and people are simply not bothering to wait for the download any more?

Many a RL business has lost ground by re-designing their physical presence that just doesn't sit right with their customers.

Or maybe it's just a coincidence, a random swing in the business cycle.
