Hey, I'm trying to buy something from XstreetSL in-game, and the purchase button says "To purchase, click "Open..." above" But I dont see an open button, and I already bought the linden ingame for it...
If I have to do it in a browser is there a way to transfer the funds?
Or is there a store in-game somewhere I can get this?
Or am I just blind and don't see the open button >_<

The technical question is one that you could easily ask on the XStreetSL website forums. You can get quick and accurate information there.
As to buying things in-world, for most merchants on XStreetSL, they have in-world stores where they sell their goods. Often they provide the sim name and coordinates of their main store on the product page, so you can get there by clicking the surl, or by typing in the sim and coordinates on the map screen (the way I do it). Also, you can find stores by doing a Seach -> People on the merchant, and clicking the "Picks" tab on the profile. Most merchants link to their own stores in the Picks sections of their profiles. |

I usually purchase from a browser window. To transfer the funds, be sure you've established an account with them by visiting any of their atm looking terminals in game, and then follow the instructions to deposit funds to your account there.

First, create an account in their website. They will send you a validation password via email.
Second, find an in-world ATM to validate your account. There's one of such ATMs next to my store. See my signature below for address. Third, once your account is validated, you may use the ATMs to deposit Lindens into your XstreetSL account. _____________________

Can you actually buy stuff from XstreetSL in-world? I don't think so. You can see their website in the inworld browser, but you can't login from there since it doesn't support frames. _____________________

I buy stuff from XstreetXL using my regular browser, not in-world. You have to register your avatar at an atm (so they can deliver). You can also add $Ls to your account that way. If you want, you can add money to your account directly from a credit card at the Xstreetsl.com account.
Given lags and other problems, I think that buying using your regular browser in RL is easier than buying in-world. That is how I do most of my shopping. Mary |
