Group Dividends

OK, me again - I know, I'm having a bad day.

I have just sold some group land. The group consists of me and my alt, plus two others who are tenants. The tenants do not have a tick in the pay and receive dividends box, but me and my alt do.

The Land and L$ box shows that the individual share of monies due from the sale is one quarter of the total amount, implying that all 4 of us will get a share when only me and my alt should be receiving the money.

Is this just an SL glitch??

Secondly, I have a 3rd Alt, whom I have now removed from the group. I haven't used her for a while, but when I logged in this morning she has a -L$70 balance. Anyone seen this before?

It calculates per share as if everyone was partaking, but will pay properly.

And yes, I have seen the negative L balance. In fact, I use that to my advantage and keep several landholding alts that run a negative balance, while my share paid becomes a fraction. Of course, if those alts ever want to buy anything, I'm going to have to pony up. I've come close a couple of times....

Thanks for that - I'd look a real idiot if I had to go cap in hand to the tenants. They are good guys though, so it probably wouldn't be a problem.

Check the properties for the role of "everyone". It is by default checked now, so if it is, you might want to uncheck it, else it will go to the tenants too.

Hope someone conveys this to him in-world in case he misses it. It could be a disaster for him.
