Howdy all! Just bought a car and bought a friend a boat. Wondering if there was any suggestions as to where to drive these? The places I tried with the car didn't work for too long and would like to wind it out a little!

Thanks!

YOu can launch your boat from the Forum hangout in Allana. Someone will be along shortly with an exact slurl.

A long Linden road network runs through a pile of mainland sims, if you land in the top of Rosieri near the fork in the road, there's a "vehicle rezzing area" next to the pink building that sells t-shirts that leads on to the road network.

The Masocado sim is made for boating. Look for the big hi-rise hotel, and you can rezz your boat down in the Marina. If you head west, you can pilot all around within the sim, and if you head east you can go under the hotel through the caves, and out into dozens of Linden Oceans. You can probably just about make it all the way to the forum hangout in Allana from there, but I haven't tried it yet to know for sure.

The southern edge of clementina has some places in the Lowlands where you can rez a boat. Use it to sail about Kremer, Mohrr, etc., and then head into Rodeo to pick up the road.

heterocera & sansara have extensive road systems. but be sure to watch your location (or turn on view borders) and slow down at those sim crossings. some can be murder.

The major car makers (Nissan, Pontiac, etc.) have extensive road systems that cover multiple sims. Great for driving or motorcycle riding.

I had read on the forums before that Mercedez Benz also had a sim, but I've never been able to find it. Does anyone have a sim name or SLURL?

You can try all the Northern continent roads from my roadside vehicle rezzing platform, 24 hours access for $5L. Also Scion city is cool too.

there you go:
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Mercedes Benz Island/128/128/0/

they've built some nice roads there for testdriving

only problem - autoreturn set to one minute, which means that if you rez your own vehicle, it'll be returned to your inventory in one minute. it can be pretty funny thought, cause your avatar may remain in a driving position with all the controls still working :)

besides, you can still drive their cars...
