Not sure whats going on here but someone is spreading false stories about our group and me. Direct quote with my informants name removed. From: someone
X: I have been IM'd sooo much about you
Psyke Phaeton: OMG y?
X: apparently your going around with a mob mentality to business and vendoe owners and telling them if they don't join your sellers group the word will be put out to boycot their stores...like a mob mentality....and people are IM'ing me because I know you
Are the baddies organising to discredit us already?

Its sad but bound to happen.
I've seen at least 3 groups like yours spring up over the last week.
From what I've seen (and the main reason I wont join any group) people are literally stabbing each other in the back to protect their own interests.

Well, not literally.
But this is one reason to be a group only concerned with LL policy. No griefer warnings, no blacklists, no Better Business Bureau stuff... because that will be instant death. Nobody would trust the group from then on, it will be seen as just another partisan group looking to do people down.
Personally I know that if any of that starts appearing I won't be paying any attention - I'm a little suspicious at the moment, but hopeful, so am still keeping up.

I think it’s important that we stay focused and not worry to much about the negative. Let’s vote on the group (open/closed), take nominations for officers and then get the elections done and move forward.
The group is comprised of some very talented people and does indeed reflect the group’s charter of “Power in numbers!!” Once we have the subcommittees in place, and start making sound recommendations to Linden Lab, those who are concerned or think it’s just another group will know just how serious we are. As Stroker has stated, LL is in full support and will work with us…….as long as we stay part of the solution and not part of the problem.

i have to say i've heard a few things here and there and mostly i think it's a combination of those who don't want this group to succeed (for obvious reasons) and those who wish they'd thought of the idea of the group first lol and now feel the need to discredit this one in order to promote their own. there will always be those who think *anything you can do, i can do better*, but in reality, those people usually dont succeed because they generally don't have the true goal at heart nor the ambition to make it work. however, this group or that...as long as people are doing what's needed to keep awareness up and theft down, we all win. psyke and others involved in getting this group going are well-known decent and honest people whom i respect and who truly care about the SL community and the way it's started going to hell in a handbasket. i stand in support of their efforts and goals  |

Im not much for forums and I never post , But this has made me post here today.
I Personally Know Psyke real world and have met him and had him in my home.
He is one of the kindest , Gentle & Caring person you can ever meet.
Psyke , Dont let these people put you down or bother you.. who ever is spreading these rumors or any rumors for that matter are the guilty ones.. They think everyone is like them and are capable of doing what they accuse others of.
Chin up and keep smiling ... You are doing a wonderful Job here ... Infact everyone in the group is ... HI 5 to you all!!

Thanks everyone above. Another interesting tid-bit is that the accusation maker wore our Group Title whilst making the claims. I guess we need the official/management side sorted out fast to stop anyone speaking on behalf of all of us and seeming credible.

It's probably griefers spreading the rumors so people won't buy your security systems to defend their land.  but thats just a guess. XD Or perhaps competition mud slingers.. :/ I've had complete satisfactory service, so as far as i'm conserned it's probably some idiot. |
