The only limitations on hiding your presence is if someone is in your freinds list and has you in thier draw distance. Then your profile will show you as online.

It will not show you are online even if you are standing right beside someone that is not in your list.

As I said on aditi, I dont agree on the way this works. If I set myself hidden I should always be hidden.

llGetRequestAgentData will still work no matter what settings someone has. Also if you send an IM and don't recieve the "message is being stored...." then they are really online. But we still got rid of mapping and a little bit more privacy.

EDIT: Also if they are not in your freinds list. WHen they search for you they will see you are offline. But when they send an IM they never see the first "...... is offline" message. Then they will know you really are online. Gonna be a bunch of pinging going on I think.

When a hiding friend is in draw distance it makes sense that their profile shows them as online. You cna see them, so the profile "updates itself" to match known verafiable information.
Used to be with the presence issue that a friend in draw dist was "online? unkown" in the profile.
