A new preview grid viewer is available, 1_21_0_94415 which fixes the
problem with the viewer overwriting release viewer settings. This viewer
has the Mono compilation UI and supports the new Touch functionality.
Most regions on the preview grid are equipped with the server side of
these new features (Help / About Second Life to check for server version
1.24) so go ahead and give things a try.
QA is pounding on this server version, and we have several more bugfixes
to deploy and test before release next week.
I'm asking around for a Linden with familiarity with the recent Textbox
function to comment here. Alas, I had nothing to do with that work.

Anyone else noticed that typing into the script window in this viewer is REALLY slow? I didn't use the last one enough to really notice as I just copy/pasted scripts I wanted to test into it.

Hi Destiny,
Do you know when the next beta viewer after the one you mentioned is coming out ? I need to update my inventory .
And is it true newbies cant sign onto beta until a new update comes out after they were born ?

If you need a refresh before the next general one, you would have to hit up a Linden (prospero maybe?) to bump you up, but this week might not the the greatest for asking since the right people will be swamped with the 1.24 rollout. |
