Sigh, dragging an inventory item across the inventory window scroll bars screws up the folders and scrolls you away from where you are.

This seems like something that should have been fixed prior to now. It's only a few days before this code gets maingridded.

I think this is the way the main grid works, too. They introduced this "feature" a few major versions back. You can drag the inventory item onto a scrollbar to directly control the scrollbar with the mouse, which is supposed to be a good thing. In reality, what it does is make dragging something in your inventory even MORE frustrating and disorienting.

I guess I'm not doing much dragging things out of inventory if I failed to realize that this is how it's working currently in the main grid. I did test it on the main grid before I posted but I must have managed to hit the magic drag direction that didn't cause the inventory position to change.

Sigh, if you have the inventory window on the left , and drag toward the right to rez something or apply a texture to a face, it messes up where you were in the inventory. Bad when you want to drag out succesive items named object to see what they are, or drag out letter shaped prims to spell out something.

I suppose this complaint should be in feature feedback instead of being treated as a bug in the beta forum. Hellofa thing when the features seem like bugs.

This has been around for many many months this was their solution to make it so you can scroll up and down your inventory and move an object whit in your inventory. One solution is to always keep your inventory on the right drag to the left to rez items inworld. Or move your mouse very quickly across the scroll bars so it does not pick up fack that you have drug over it. Would be nice if there was something like a 0.25 second delay before it thought you wanted to use the scroll bars.

This has been about for ages. Also happens if you come out of Busy mode. Sometimes it tells me what group, but I honestly don't give a rat's behind: everyone left!

Oooh, I never thought of that. Clearly none of the LL devs did either. This is a critical example of how a misguided feature can have unintended impacts, ie requiring that the inventory window be on the right like they think it "Should" be.

I wonder if there are any hidden variables you can change to tell it how long to wait before doing the scrolling when you drag something past the scrollbar. I'd set mine to "never".

As soon as someone gets the open source client building successfully (there seem to be missing steps) I'm sure someone will fix this one.
