Kelly Life - about Preview Known Issues

Oh @#$%!! I meant to type Kelly Linden not Kelly Life.

The main grid Known Issues page suffers from impaired searchabilty due to having the repros hidden till you click on the Show Repro button. I assume the Preview Known Issues page will share this fault.

Example: I tried to search for a flaw in the physics system on the main grid Known Issues page; in order to find the word physics I had to open each item until I found it. This is a lot of chaff to read to get to a small piece of wheat.

Also, since the name Preview seems to be in the process of conversion to Beta, why not be consistent by calling Preview Known Issues "Beta Known Issues" or "Beta Grid Known Issues"?

Also if people are expected to check the Known Issues, how about making a link to the Beta Grid Known Issues page that can be opened in either the user's default browser or the in-client mozilla browser?

The preview known issues and information page is linked to from the sticky thread in this forum, and also available in the quality assurance category in the knowledgebase.

I didn't ask anything about how to find them, I know where they are, reading the content of the page is what prompted my post.

I made the point that you can't search the text on the page in an efficient manner because the repros, which have the bulk of the text and might well contain what one would want to use for a search term, aren't searchable until the show repro buttons are clicked.

I also made a point that the long standing term "Preview Grid" appears to be being changed, for some reason, to "Beta Test Grid", and that is would be logical and more effective communicatively to pick one term and stick to it.

Example: in the sticky you mentioned above, it says:



Note the Header of the post refers to "Beta Information" but the link desriiptions refer to "Preview".

On http://secondlife.com/community/preview.php - note the term in the page link is "preview" - but in the page it refers to "1.12.1.6 The Beta Test Grid (SIVA)", not "1.12.1.6 The Preview Test Grid (SIVA)".

The link to the release notes on that page shows the text "Beta Test Grid Release Notes page.", but when you follow the link, you go to a knowledgebase article that appears in "Second Life Knowledge Base » Quality Assurance » Preview Release Notes"
and which has a big sized text header of "Preview Release Notes".

The documentation is flip flopping back and forth between the terms Preview and Beta and Beta Test for the descriptive term for the new code grid.
