Use the same login. You will get a copy of your current-ish inventory. However, REMEMBER, nothing can be transferred between the grids! You buy something there, it stays there. You make something there, it stays there.

The Beta Grid is using a member list from July 17, 2007. If you joined after that you won't be able to use the beta grid.
Might be time to see if the Linden staff can update the database.
