Hope you made it back but in case you haven't, you should have two Second Life icons on your desktop - one plain and one saying Second Life Aditi. The plain one will take you to the main grid, while Aditi is the preview grid.

thanks Jana... I had overwritten the Main Grid application with the beta version... just got hold of the main version again, and have kept them separate this time... thanks for your help.
