Linksets with moving parts wander around

I sell some machinery and upgrade linksets that need to be aligned with the original linksets. Also machines that rez other parts, so the position can be finetuned by the user. Now linksets containing moving (animated) child prims tend to change their position over time, even when you lock them down. One day the demo objects in my shop look just fine, next morning they're hovering above the floor.
