I just tried to take a screenshot showing the object editor in preview 1.11.
The "show interface in snapshot" box was checked.
The snapshot does not show the object editor.
Is this how it is intended to work?
Do others get the same result?

Yes it does the same thing here. No idea if it is supose to be that way though. But I would tend to think it is because if you do a bug report while having a object selected, it shows in that snapshot. Personally I would rather have it show everything except the snapshot controls and HUD's when the "show UI" is checked (HUDS have a seperate control and defualt to NOT showing (which is one change I have been wanting since 1.8 or so when HUDs started showing up in snapshots by defualt). Of course we can always get a snapshot of the object controls by doing a standard screen capture. Not prefered method I know but at least it is a option.

With the white flash and picture-dropping-away animations, I doubt I will be using the snapshot function anymore anyway.

Well, having studied the new snapshot system, I have come up with the following opinion of it
http://www.provtech.co.uk/software/screenprint32.asp Great little screen capture utility - allows you to set a hotkey that will save to disk in a variety of image formats, with good control of the filenames, and best of all, it is FREE for non-commercial use! |

Irfanview is another program that can do screen capture, allows for cropping, conversion to various formats, and there's an Irfanview plugin that allows for emailing of the picture; this can be used to upload to an image storage site like PhotoBucket or ImageShack.
