I just installed the beta grid code and my avatar is invisible and the Appearance editor is greyed out and unavailable. Client character rebake and changing active group does nothing visible.

Well, clearing cache and restarting seemed to fix that.
A prompt asking to clear the cache or not during an install might be a good idea.
