It's been pointed out that there isn't any immediate incentive for users to try the Beta Grid, which makes it harder to identify problems before an upgrade. One potential solution is to start holding events there... so I figure I'll give this a shot.
This Saturday, October 21, I'm going to have a special, non-racy edition of Trivia with Samantha on the Beta Grid, at 4 PM SLT. Prizes will be awarded after the game in the Main Grid. I'll be asking 25 trivia questions in a variety of categories, and giving out L$500 in cash and as many sponsored prizes as I can manage.
IM Samantha Poindexter for a TP when you get to the Beta Grid; I'll probably set up shop in a sandbox.
Even if you're not interested in trivia, come on by. And I invite other people to hold more events there... let's see what happens when we get lots of people into beta.
