Is it only me, or is buying currently disabled on the Beta grid?
I've been trying for about three days now and can't understand what's wrong.

Are you trying to buy someting that is contained in a vending object's inventory or are you trying to buy something that from a vendor that has to contact a not-in-SL before you get sent the item?
The fancier style of vendor in my experience does not work in the Beta grid. The reason is that the system the vendor is using to communicate to the not-in-SL server is not operating in the Beta grid. _____________________

I really can't tell, except that I even tried repeating a purchase that I had completed successfully a couple of weeks ago. Well just in case the shop changed the way it operates, I can re-test the buy option of the basic pie-menu by selling something to my alt.

I also tried to buy big robot transformer avatar in beta grid. My money were leave from me, but I found emty folder only with name of paid avatar in my inventory.
Is it normally for beta grid? //Sorry for my bad english |

I know about it. I didn't ask about transfer purchases from beta to main grid. About one week ago I bought furry wild cat avatar in beta grid. All were OK. I paid money from 5000L$ (starting money in beta) and took new furry avatar (in beta grid) in my inventory. Yesterday I paid (in beta grid) for new robot avatar, but took only empty folder in my inventory. This is failed transaction cost me about 2000L$ (in beta grid).  Avatar was very cool! |

I just joined the beta grid today and cant buy anything either ... what is the point of giving us linden to use there if you cant use it ? This is stupid... I tried twice and both times it didnt work.

Sometimes it works and you can to buy something in beta grid,
but if it doesn't work you lose your money. Files of new avatar appeared, but in wrong format (as texture, but files not textures) and I can't use robot avatar in beta. |

It seems to me that all scripts are disabled at the mo' on the preview grid - nothing scripted works for me, anyway, whether or not there's the "no scripts" icon on the top bar. I just thought LL was doing something that necessitated that.

Yes the same thing happened to me the first thing I tried to buy became just a folder of textures even though it was supposed to be clothes and when I clicked on the textures they said missing image... the second thing was just a demo but it was a folder I couldnt open. Is there an sl exchange terminal there? What would happen if we tried to buy things from sl exchange?
And if scripts are disabled that explains why my ao didnt work but does it explain why you cant buy anything? Elinah |

(you can't pay it) I believe that even if it was HTTP and other forms of outbound communication fail (either SL blocks them entirely or the outside scripts see it coming from a different location (beta.secondlife.com instead of grid.secondlife.com kind of thing) and ignore it. |
