... for a probably completely unrelated, and very personal, reason.

Recently I have been involved in a new project that requires rather a large amount of animations. So far, I've done them only for my personal use, and a few I even managed to sell for a handful of L$. They're cool, they're nice, they've been around since mid-2004, and I still can't find enough of them :)

If you have played around with animations, you know how unprecise they are. Xenon Linden's "SL avatar" template helps quite a bit (since it properly sets the limits of the rotations, etc.), but it seems to have the most weird proportions. Also, it doesn't help that the dials for "scale" vs. "rotation" are put on the reverse order when changing from left to right... very cool thing to forget when you are in the middle of a 350-frame-animation, and just changed a keyframe by mistake... arrrrgh :)

Anyway.

What this means is that you need to upload lots of animations until you get one that looks right (and by that I mean that it looks right in SL, even if it doesn't look so good on Poser or whatever animation application you use). When I mean lots, I mean lots. Now, sadly, for a poor animator, who can't spend a few thousand L$ uploading anims until they are exactly right, there is a simple option... using the Preview :) Since money spend there does not have any relation to your account, you can at least do some 500 uploads or so... or perhaps even more, if you have enough alts...

Now I know how the poor animators survive in this world, lol. I'm always learning :)
