Cookies all around to the QA team. I have worked with and in the Quality Assurance field in manufacturing for most of my life. Too many times I have seen the program be way too inflexible and slow to change when things do not work. But as an outsider it is still more then apparent that LL's QA program is "alive" and dynamic. Just in the last two months there have been a multitude of changes in the way beta is tested and now implemented. Per my previous post I knew that something was up and that testing was occuring in another beta grid besides the one we were currently allowed access into. This approach does seem to have worked and worked well. The implementation of the changes from what was probably Siva to the Aditi grid immediately showed a problem and this was fixed before it went to the main grid.

So congratulations guys and gals. Keep up the good work. Hopefully the rest of LL will learn from and adapt as quickly as your department. If Philip is reading this post, please increase thier late night cookie allowance from one bag to two bags of double fudge chocolate chip.

i would like to know what game you are playing because what went well in your so called "test" is playing havoc in the game( at least to me).

i have searched high and low on the forums and in the so called informative blog. to see wth is happening, and as usual nothing. except the reassuring platitudes of another "grid attack" (i'm truly beginning to wonder if this will be the new tag for "bugs" now so the lindens can justify slamming us with more updates). and please dotn refer me to Live Help, the have proven time and again they they dont know anything, dont want know anything, and get very pissy if you ask them anything(witness last weeks grid attack when live help was very adamant about people asking(bothering) them "hey whats goin on?";)

since Wednsday's upgrade i have:

crashed a total of 27 times a record for me
severe packet loss, where the lines stay red even though im moving smoothly
teleport issues, where i ask to tp to point A and it decides to tp me point B instead
severe chat lag
constantly having to resize the im box
Missing texture
slow rezz(some sims that tool less than a minute for me to rezz to now take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes and some never rezz fully)
this is a new glitch and just happened to me tonight: i went to my hotel room, severe lag and that what i call walking thru goo feeling, but made it to the elevator, rode it open opened my door and went to sit down as i awaited the slow rezz of the room. i then stood up, and bam i was outside, looking at my hotel room in the distance, while i stood in mid air, that for me was the end.
i logged off disgusted and wonderign why am i wasting my time with this game when its obviously gettin worse and worse as more and more morons sign up.

So Jesse you tell me what game you're playing because that one sounds like fun& stable.

WOW you are getting hit hard and it is usually me that gets hit first and why I was so pleased this time. My system does not meet the bare minimum requirements for the game. Have an Nvidia 6100 and I haven't had problems like yours since 1.10 I think? Yes I do still have lag but haven't hit the molasses yet this time. But I also have everything turned way down. Maximum draw distance I ever use in main grid is 128 and have all settings at mid slider at the most.

The only thing I could suggest IF you haven't tried it, is a clean install of the game. Make sure to get the cache files too. If it was wide spread it should have shown up in Current Version Feedback. Hope it helps and good luck.

After you delete the game and before reinstalling go into your harddrive and make sure you do not have a folder here:

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\SecondLife

If you do then delete the whole secondlife folder.

Then go to:

C:\Program Files\SecondLife

And if that folder is there then delete it also.

Then reinstall.

If you are still having problems like you have been having try posting to technical issues. Some of the people in there are pretty smart, much smarter then me, and someone should get you fixed up. But try the clean install first, that is usually what most of us do if we run into cascading problems like yours. That is also what I learned to do when I ran into all of my problems back at 1.10.

Let me know how things work out!
