Not really a bug just different. When a object woves via a set position or rotation it would move with a little animation. Sort of smooth decelerating to it final position. Now on Beta. it just jumps to it new position a sudden jolt. Not very graceful. I'm will to bet this is part of the "Several viewer rendering performance improvements" as noted in the realease notes.

Is it not just an aspect of the generally vastly better performance of the tiny underused grid on beta? If it was loaded down like main, maybe it would look the same.

I have been living on the beta grid and notice it after I downloaded the new client and then tried it on my other systems to make sure. and had teh same effect.

The animation is client side, anyway.

This will break a LOT of animated attachments!

Can these "performance improvements" be made optional?

Here is teh deal. Child prims in a link set don't move smoothly using scripts. If you move the Root Prim it is fine and fluid. But the Child jsut jumps to the new position

Child prims "unfluent"

Yeah, this broke two of my products.
One is a clock that looks really stupid and unrealistic in the beta.

Another one is my prisma signs, where i use rotating prismas to display different images on a sign. Ths prismas is rotated in cascade creating a quite interesting effect.

Now my 22 prim signs just look like a single prim with a texture animation on, not sexy at all.

I also noticed doors and other stuff just "whams" open now. Very ugly indeed.
