Is it a bug that flying into a restricted land parcel in Bonifacio made me go to 0,0,0?

Someone appears to have placed a flame below 0,0,0. Hmm.

Entering restricted land across a sim border always seems to move you to 0,0,0, and teleporting into a private sim where the whole sim is restricted (but visible) will apparently "glue" you to 0,0,0.

This is one thing I would love to see fixed. Bad enough to bounce on a ban line, but to be sent to the 0 location sucks.

Especially when <0,0,0> is (in many sims) below ground and really borks up the client :(

SO THAT'S WHAT IT WAS.

I was wondering why my flight was going strange everytime I bumped into a neighbor's wall (GREEN wall)

I did some testing, it seems to happen only on the north wall. The other walls just cause a normal rebound.

The thing is my neighbor's north wall falls on the sim boundary. Gonna try to find another wall that doesn't.

UPDATE:

Apparently the only walls affected are those that are Sim boundaries.

Can someone corroborate the observations?

The sad thing is I thought it was some new bot and my neighbor has a scorching IM waiting for him when he comes back online from last week. :D

I just realized this is a preview sub forum.

But this thing is happening also on the MG!

I have seen this happen on the main grid if you use a teleporter with messed up coodinates. If it fails to parse the teleport coordinates into anything rational, it takes you to <0,0,0> instead, and you have to TP home or open a landmark and TP to get out of the corner.

It definitely happens on the MG.

We almost had a feud start with one of our neighbors because a group member was CONVINCED they were running an illegal "push" security bot. Luckily I heard 'em griping and was able to explain what was up.

LOL see my above post :P

Just in case a Linden is tracking this.. the wall location next to mine is the West wall. So I dont think N, S, etc is an issue.
