It stalls at "Verifying protocol version" and I get a "unable to connect" message box.

For giggles I pressed the "Help" button and it did not do anything either.

Edit: never mind, local firewall issue.

It would be nice if the "Grid status" page listed all the grids and a list of sims that are curently down. The "The Second Life grid and the Second Life web site are open." message is not very usefull.
