Just connected ok. Made a linked object with a nonphysical llSetPos () script and it moved me to 1024 metres. Great!

I have the same DNS error, with the Linux and Mac clients on 2 different computers. Is anybody posting here a Windows user? I'm asking because this DNS error could be the result of a broken dependency in the latest Linden builds.

I just got in! Took ages to connect and was quite jerky when using at first, then seemed slightly better after a few mins.

I got in just fine, and the sandboxes were full.. Looks like the greifers were testing there wears.. One sim i flew into was just full of griefer crap.. But I never did crash even though it took me a good 3 minutes to fly back out of the area.. So I guess that's something...

I also just got in - I think the problem was with LL's login server, instead of an issue with the client. I recommend that anybody who had this problem in the past try again...

A few of you got in...great. Now...pray tell...what's different? Physics? Detail? What did the new engine tweak offer? Anything noticeable?

Thanks.

I got on Havoc4 Beta at last, today. I managed to rez my skyclub at 950m, so the extra build altitude works OK.

Avatar movememt looked like it might be slightly improved FPS-wise in quieter areas, for me at least.

What wasn't so good was that my eyes were missing texture, despite rebakes and re-logs. I looked like I had cateracts instead of healthy brown eyes!

I noticed that the welcome area was build-enabled and there were people trying out griefer kit there, including one guy who'd been in SL since 2005! I put one of my tri-belly podules up for a while but I removed it when I'd finished.

Having looked at other posts, maybe the 'griefing' we saw on Beta is deliberate testing by by those who are 'on our side' to see how well Havoc4 stands up to abuse or overload.

To be honest.. Since I couldn't drop anything anywhere and try out the tools, I didn't notice anything differant.. Graphics didn't look any differant at all.. The lag was still there..
