Could someone please explain how to make Gestural Pie Menus work? The release notes does not provide any usability info on this. I mean, I understand its purpose but I don't get how to execute it.

Sure, it's easy. You know how you right-click to activate pie menu?
Well, now, HOLD down right mouse button. ![]() The new thing is this works with the sub-menus. Currently in 1.10, you can't right-click on a pie sub-menu to drill down through levels (e.g., More > Attach HUD > Top when right-clicking an object). It'll just get stuck. But in Preview 1.11, you can. Takes a little bit of getting used to but it can speed up your workflow! _____________________

I see now. At first I was thinking like "mouse gestures" where you could spell a letter or write a symbol to activate a function. Thank you for explaining, Torley.

Must it have a zooming shrinking effect when you just click on it?
Is it impossible to make effects like this optional? |

It'll just get stuck. But in Preview 1.11, you can. I can't seem to get this to work, or perhaps I'm just not reading into this correctly. When I click and hold the RMB and drag down over More>, it doesn't expand the next level until I release the button and then I've got to right click again. Perhaps a more natural flow with one click would be in order. Automatically open the submenus when the cursor is held in that direction for a couple of seconds (make it a user definable time span, some people are speed kings while others might want a chance to respond to a malfunctioning mouse pointer). _____________________
