Well, it looks like I biffed the stipends again. My apologies.

In summary, due to a leaderboard problem, the bonus part of the stipend for Friday 5/30 and Saturday 5/31 was too low for many people. The problem is fixed, and Ian and I have disbursed money to those who came out behind.

In detail:
Stipends consist of three parts: A fixed $1000 per week, a bonus based on your current "score" from the leaderboards, and a bonus based on your change in "score" over the last week. The goal is to reward both those who perform well overall, as well as help out new users who are climbing the charts.

Due to a previous problem that resulted in a gap in leaderboard data, on 5/30 and 5/31 the system got the wrong values for "change in score this week". Thus, some people's stipends were bigger and some were smaller. Worst case, the bonus part of the stipend could be cut in half.

Ian and I did a fair amount of digging into historical data, and we've given money to those who should have gotten a larger stipend. Note that the amount may not be exact -- in some cases we didn't have enough data to reconstruct it perfectly. So we erred on the side of giving out too much money. :-) Those users who got a stipend that was too big can keep it, compliments of us.

Again, thanks for your patience.

James
