Thanks to everyone that joined the SuezanneC Baskerville group, thereby making the creation of this forum possible.
I now have a place to put forth whatever I might have to say to the Second Life community without having to worry about which forum to put it in.
The challenge now is to find something worthwhile to say. I feel like I was just handed a microphone and told to deliver an impromptu speech.
I have made some other groups before, and had some hope of getting the requisite 20 members that would allow them to have a group forum created. My "Libertarians of Second Life" group's membership is growing slowly but hasn't reached the 20 mark. I have rejected some folks for membership in that group because of insufficient ideological purity - they supported tax supported school systems and such, which in my book means they are statists, outside the bounds of what libertarian means to me. I created a "Product Discussion Group", which I did not because I wanted to discuss products but because there seemed to me to be at one time a furor and great demand for a place to discuss products following a change in some product posting forums from repliable to post only. The outcry I perceived did not appear to be met by people wanting to join the group. I have left that group, which is now officerless, and so anyone in that group can start the process of getting themselves or somone else elected to the position of officer, or else everyone can quit and let the group disband.
I suppose I had best post this now in hopes of still being the first one to post in this forum.
I still need to read the guidelines mentioned in the group forum creation email I got.
Thanks to Torley and Jeska for the prompt response.
