Ive installed hipihi on my laptop which runs windows xp (as it wont even boot up on my vista desktop).......i get to the log in screen on xp and type in user name and password, only problem is all the "text" is in rectangles instead of letters..

any help appreciated, im thinking maybe i need some type of english pack patch but hipihi`s website and forums confuse me to no end.

On my blog there is a Hipihi page which describes the procedures I used to get Hipihi to run on my Windows XP system.

There's another method to try which I haven't tried, which I found out about from a user of the IdeaShape forum, a user by the name of "crazysnake", who describe using a Microsoft program described at and available from http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/apploc.mspx. _____________________

I guess i cant play hiphi, i cant install the east asian language pack.
I dont think this is the correct windows disc, it say windows recovery, i guess i dont have the actual windows..this is all i got with my laptop. This sucks _____________________

You can get Windows XP's Service Pack 2, which has the files you need in it, I believe.
You can download XP SP2 at http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=3646727 or order the SP2 CD for free - not even any shipping - from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/default.mspx There's supposed to be an English version before too long - within a few months. _____________________

It says "Your computer has already been upgraded to Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)." so I dont know what the problem is. Thanks so much for your help though, guess I`ll wait for the english version.
