Seagate launches terabyte storage for the home
Seagate announced a new drive on Tuesday aimed at small businesses and what it dubbed "family technology officers" — tech-savvy home users. Why the heck would I want to spend 900 dollars for a terrabyte of storage? I think I could put that together for 600 maybe 700. And that includes the rest of the system to set it up as a file server. If you don't mind just sticking a few more drives in your personal computer then it's only about 400.

Some friends and I were figuring it out, we figure in 10 years a home user will have enough processing power to render something like the matrix training rooms on board the hoverships in real time.
