A new version of Hiphi that includes a number of notable improvements is available now. I've got it installed and am running it successfully. It's got speedtrees. The trees in Hiphi move now. I haven't had time to check out all the new features. Your avatar can go up and down hills now in the way you would expect. I announce this new version a bit prematurely earlier, but at this moment, the download is working, the servers are back up, and the promised features I've had time to check on are working as stated. Hipihi is at http://hipihi.com. The forums are at http://forums.Hipihi.com. The English language forum is called the Overseas Zone.

I will try it now. Although, I have a problem with it, the UI is messed up, I can't see all the buttons. Are you aware of that problem?

The server is back down. I was in for an hour or so. The chat wasn't working, so I tried to restart. That was an error.
The trees looked nice, and they moved, and the avatar could walk up slopes as the release notes indicate.
Now I can't get back in, they servers are down. Boo Hoo !!!!
As for your problem there are all sorts of problems reported in earlier versions, depending on what kind of video card you have and whether you have set the language up properly and other such things.
The buttons were showing up fine for me. Now I wish I had tried to build and such instead of wanting to chat.
