The event will be held from 21 June (Wednesday) to 25 June (Sunday), Peak at 23 June (Friday). It will feature an art exhibition which will include Machinima and this is where you in this forum can come into play.
So if you are doing videos in Second Life then we invite you to participate in this event.
And we will not only show your videos but additionally you have the opportunity to build some set related to your work in which the videos can be shown.
If you don't have time or the ability to build something yourself then we can provide a standard place where your videos can be shown and some information about you is available.
Another issue: If you want your videos to be shown in-world you should make sure they are in Quicktime format. This means that videos on YouTube are not able to be shown in-world. For hosting your QT videos I suggest to use http://blip.tv, a free hosting service which I do use myself (additionally you won't have any issues with quality degradation when converting to flash as you might have with YouTube).
If you don't have time to convert your video to Quicktime or upload it then it would be nice if we still can show your work. In this case we can provide an external link to your website. So please contribute at least the following information:
- Your Name
- Your Web Site with links to your videos
- maybe some little biography
If you have any questions regarding this topic please contact me under tao.takashi@gmail.com or IM me in-world.
Additionally you can contact Amalthea Blanc via IM.
Any contributions can be send to me or simply appended to that thread as it might be a nice list of makers of machinima that way.
More general information about the event can be found here .
