Here's my latest SL machinima project:

Trucking in Second Life.

As anyone knows who's tried, driving in
Second Life is a challenge. Towards a
better experience I heavily modified one
of Asylum Arcadia's freebie trucks. It
handles the roads better than any other
vehicle I've driven.

In addition to a lot of extra functionality
on the truck, I rewrote the vehicle script
and for this project wrote a few camera
scripts using llSetCameraParams.

The views shot facing back toward the
truck were tricky because I had to
drive backwards while filming!

As per usual I used Fraps to capture
the video. I minimize the viewer
window to the resolution I want (in
this case 600 width x 270 height for
a 1:2.22 aspect ratio. Shooting at
15 fps (No Sync unchecked), but encode
at 30fps.

Excellent.. I'm no lover of country and western but would admit to being carried along by the music and the movie....

The only thing that out done that old truck for polution, was you.. LOL.. you gotta give up smoking while driving, bad influence....

Great movie as always, very enjoyable.

Excellent job, very enjoyable. That looked like a nice stretch of highway, I'll have to go looking for that.

I'm an ole hippie that likes bluegrass and truck drivin songs. (go figure), so I thought the music was perfect.

Thanks for sharing that with us.

Keep the shiny side up, watch out for smokey, and we'll catch ya on the flip side.

Tex
