Wheelies held an event recently, to raise money for the Virtual Helping Hands. These are some of the systems that are used by disabled people using SL.

I made a short movie of the event.

Its still a bit raw, will be working more on it in the next few days.

Nice AWM.

All the effects really make for an interesting and captivating video (picture in picture, overlays, pan/crop/zoom, speed up)

Hi Rosco,

I should have listed the effects... I used destructive chroma overlays, cookie cutting down through the coloured layers to expose parts of the underlying media layers. By also using just the mask, and reducing its effectiveness (strength), I produced the chrome effect in some scenes. I applied multiple chroma keys to several layers, to control the areas of exposure. In one section I created a gradient mask that allowed me progressive chroma destruction control.
The picture in picture effects we done using relative cookie cutters. I could also use absolute cookie cutters so they looked like a searchlight effect. I controlled these across each media scenes timeline pan/zoom effect.
The speaker movement effect was using 'pinch-punch' VTS on the background layers to simulate movement, with static cookie cutting masks on the front media later. Again controlled across the timelines.
