You can turn off the interface by pressing ctrl-alt-1.

I am using Fraps. Why does the ctrl-alt-1 command not hide my Interface? using these keys does not cause any response.

I had seen elsewhere on a machinima site, someone said ALT-U was suppose to hide the interface, but I get no result from that either.

Whats the deal?

Erm, well, it *should* - it might be ctrl-apple-1 if you're using a Mac. That should toggle the interface in SL, whether you're using FRAPS or not. FRAPS will then capture whatever you have in the SL window.

Unless I've gone insane and got the wrong key combination here, or it's been changed recently.

edit: If you're talking about the frame rate counter which appears by default, you can turn that off from the FRAPS interface - go to the FPS tab and select "Disabled" under "Overlay Corner" on the right hand side.

For CTRL-ALT-1 to work, your "debug" menus need to be active - CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-D.

Havent tried this answer yet but sounds right. Will use that. Had a feeling it was going to be that simple.

Oops. I've had the debug menu on for so long now, I always forget that it's off by default. Sorry.
