Best Video Capture Software/Technique for PC

Was wondering what software and techniques are being used on PCs to capture video in-game. So far I've only used the built-in video capture which seems to work reasonably well. Although with my hardware I can't encode on-the-fly, a bit too heavy for my video card and CPU, so I capture raw and encode later.

I've heard about Fraps and a few other programs.

Thanks!

I use Fraps. Tried the native Linden studd last year, saw problems, switched. No problems since. Othere people ask me about capture problems. All using native Linden. I tell them to switch. Problems gone.

I use Fraps at half screen because that fits YouTube. The .avi files are big, but I have no interest in compression on the fly. Just have plenty of disk space. I will cut 15 min of raw capture to 5 min of video anyway.

I had issues with Fraps not loading into my editing programmes, so I switched to HyperCam3, wouldn't be without it now.
