I have been making flash movies to play in SL... but I cant get them to work on teh media player! I know its quicktime, and Its on land I own. but when I try to play the movies... nothing happens!

If anyone could assist me on how to get Flash movies working in SL i would be incredibly grateful.

I would suggest going to Super(c) and downloading that to convert your (i assume it's .swf to .mov for Quicktime playing)

Hope that helps

This is because when Flash exports video to Quicktime it contains a Flash track in the Quicktime movie thus it's not truely a standard Quicktime video that you would normally have. You can try the tool Hunter mentioned to do the one of the following...

1. Convert the Quicktime you exported to AVI format then right back to Quicktime MOV.

2. Re-export from Flash to AVI format. Then convert the AVI to Quicktime MOV.

Sorry Axiom, you may try the company that makes Super(c) at eRightSoft.net

I know I too had a wild goose chase at first when finding the initial download, but it's there and free

okies I got it to work and have a .MOV version of the flash...

But not when I try to host it on Youtube.com (and a few other places) it says invalid file format?

Uh, any experts out there that can lend a hand?

As far as I know Youtube converts your movie (I'd assume .avi mabey and .mov) to .swf or any other approprtiate format needed to run on thier servers.

I personally host my movies on my server at GarHunt.com But im sure there is some one that could clarify (if not better explain) better on how you can accomplish what you are trying to achieve.
