hey guys!

I have a very important question.

www.ariellafurman.com/testflying.mov

I've been having trouble with camera tracking, either when a person is walking, running, or flying. Basically, I ALT click the person to focus my camera on them- they do a movement (any kind of movement at all basically) and the above is what happens. This is not an issue of frame rates, my frames are ULTRA high.. Like I think i had 30 FPS when I shot this.

Anyways.. it happens whether i have a close up or long shot. It's whether the person running the flying avatar has an ao or not. It's whether the person has the best computer or the worst computer.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling SL many times.

I have also tested it on my mac (i shoot with my PC) and the mac had the SAME problem so I'm REALLYY surprised this issue wasn't brought up before. My mac bounced the same exact way!!

As you can see, the avie is not near walls, it is also not near sim lines.

Does anyone know what this catastrophe can be?

Empty out the user_settings folder (on Mac it's under ~/Library/Application Support/SecondLife ) and also *.xml under your avatar folder, which is also under that SecondLife folder.

For XP it's \documents and settings\yourname\application data\Secondlife\user_settings

under Vista it's like \users\yourname\appdata\roaming\SecondLife\user_settings

awww man i still cant find it! :(( I have vista- I tried Local Disk: C: then Users then administrators and there's no app data. in fact, all the folders in there have nothing w/ second life. I tried going to the Second Life folder through program files and user data wasn't there either.

I think that Vista is like XP in this respect: you have to set your folder option to allow you to see hidden files. XP and Vista hide the local settings folders from our searching eyes. Tools >> Folder Options >> View Tab, under the Files and Folders main heading in XP.
