Should your video be on one of my channels?

I am aggregating (embedding) videos done in SL into channels:

Comedy, Cultural, Business, Music, Education, SL Introduction, Publc Services, etc.

These are available here (and from my profile, web tab):
http://www.thinkerer.org/Background/BakSiteMap.htm

I am looking for videos demonstrating things that can be done in SL and are commonly considered of value in the "real" world. Examples would be comedy acts, Plays, TV-like video stories, musicals, business meetings, commercials, and educational presentations.

If you have a video you want me to consider for my channels, best post it as response to this thread. If you want to talk to me about about a video you are planning, send me an IM in SL. But for much of a talk, expect a voice conversation.

Some criteria I apply in considering videos:

1. Will the viewers consider it new or novel, The fact that the video or the event is done in SL may be new and novel if it is something normally done in "real" life with difficulty and/or high cost.

2. Does the video catch the visitor's interest in the first 20-30 Seconds? If not, I don't think it matters what happens after that.

3. Practical: Is the video posted on Blip.TV, YouTube, or some other site that gives me a simple route to embed the video on my site?

The four-part video I made of last year's The Show Must Go On! show (that's my vaudeville troupe) is on my yootoob page here: http://www.youtube.com/user/OspreyTherian
This year's show is still being performed live.

Many more are there, as well, including SynaesthAsia and Bitstream Boogie Live at the Juke Joint, which are my videos made at live music performances (fabulous musicians - Kosumo Tokugawa, MoShang Zhao, Hathead Rickenbacker).

Hi Thinkerer

You might like to consider the videos we (Cybernetic Art Research Project) took of our SL production of Pink Floyd's 'The Wall'. Comes in 8 parts, and also has an associated playlist linking them together

We are also in the testing stages of filming our current production "The Rings", full video to be released in the next few weeks.

We produce a lot of variety of machinima using SL as a basis platform, both for SL and RL based companies/organisations. We also support budding artists in SL looking for a RL outlet.
Whilst we cannot offer to send these movies to you, as they contain tracker code, please feel free to browse our portfolio of movies and use a html link, to any you may find of use for your project. Some of our older movies are hosted on html pages that check the version of QuickTime installed on the viewers system, if that poses an issue, drop me a list and I'll recode them.

Thanks Osprey. I have posted the videos here:

http://www.thinkerer.org/VirVilComedy/VirtVillComStageActs.htm

The collection on one page makes for easier viewing and easier annotation. If you want to give me the credits in text, I will add them to the web page. You can also give me a persistent location (LM) where people can come to see the current schedule -- I will then put that in as a slurl.

I will look at the musical things later for inclusion in my music channel.

Thanks, AWM. I have put a link in my business channel to your web site as a commercial provider of video services.
