I have a video ((commercial)) that I need to load into SL for a display. Can anyone give me guidance on where to look in SL on how to do this? File size/type etc?

No load, just post and play

You don't load a video into SL. You stream a video that is already posted on the web. The video must be compatible with Quicktime and set up on the server for streaming. You can do this, for example. by posting a .mov file on Blip.tv and finding the streaming url on blip. That is not the one that ends in .hml.
Blip will not do for heavy loads. Universities and other institutions will have computer resources that can handle a large number of concurrent users. You can also hire a server, but that may get expensive for streaming video. TM

We (WBA Advertising) create media within the platform, our services include hosting and streaming our media from 5 secure servers, with over 15 terra bytes of bandwidth, that serve our 260,000+ viewers each month.
Depending on what your commercial is about, and format, resolution, we maybe interested in hosting and streaming your content for you, at a reasonable cost, we also accept RL money, or L$ in 3 monthly contracts.
