Not to mention that for L'Oreal, or any other company to choose an avatar as "the face" of that compamy is rather ridiculous, since anyone in SL could go out and purchase that skin and hair and tweak their shape to look exactly like the avatar they have chosen.

Seems rather pointless.

If it's supposed to be the face of L'Oreal then why don't we get any closeups? So we can see their faces?

BTW, if this is what I think it is, I hope you charged them a bundle for this because I know the three people that came up with the concept and pitched it to the agency didn't get a dime. Neither did the actors apparently.

Thanks for your feed back, there was an issue with the QuickTime code updates from Apple, which has now been cured by them. I have tested this from 3 seperate PC's and it seems ok now.

We have also updated with the final movie due to changes made by the client.

I had hoped the movie itself would have been the topic of conversation, along with the backing track arranged entirely inhouse, hence why it was posted in the Machimina section of the forums. I am not aware of any history attached to the concept of this event, only that we (WBA-Advertising, a machinima maker in SL) were contracted to carryout this work on behalf of the hard working project team, and offered this as an example of our craft.

The concept as we were breifed on, was to make a movie showing an event that took place within SL and the capabilities of the platform. The winners represent some of the very talented and skilled people, that are involved within the SL community. The term 'Face' used in the slogan, is not literal, it's the image as in 'portray'.
