Machinima makes it on RL TV

Its a Norwegian TV channel that ran a report on Ivalde (designer) in SL... the leader movie and that used in the programme report content of Ivalde's fashion show, complete with movie, is one of ours

Good to hear (although I couldn't understand a word) some positive things about SL.

This is great...I've noticed that some of the ads on TV look like they could have been done in SL.

It is early days yet but I do expect SL machinima in the future to be one of the accepted ways to get messages across in a variety of mediums.

I completely agree Dnali! I've seen quite a few ads on TV that could have been done in SL. I'm looking forward to seeing what 2009 will bring for SL machinima....

I must profess, this isn't the very first time our machinima has been seen and used, for RL TV and Productions.

2 years ago we did a short movie for MTV, since then we have had our work exposed on Russian TV in Red Square, L'Oreal on French TV (and websites), to over 70,000 designer students in Colleges throughout the World, a Science Museum in Chicargo, and now TV in Finland.

We are constantly seeking new avenues to expose, not just our Machinima, but the whole concept of Machinima, to RL TV stations, Corporate companies and Organisations, Music companies and Education.

There is a huge initative for seeking out alternatives for media production, that are ECO friendly. We formed The INKFree Media Company to use as a vehicle, for just such a purpose. I believe, once the platforms have matured enough, those with talents and skills, will see fortune knocking on their door. Of all the platforms available to machinimast, SL has to be one of the hardest to gain quality. To its merit, it is one of the few platforms that allows content creation and full control over lighting and atmospherics.

Our goal is to host our own set of Sims/Regions, where we can create machinima in controlled conditions. Utilising a powerful server and scripting languages that allow for greater flexibility of control over functions, animations, without the need to use the Internet for the Director/Producer, will be a big step forward, to realising those goals.
