Camera Tutorial?

Ok.. I've been bitten by the Machinema bug, bought my copy of fraps... and want to become the Cecille B Demille of SecondLife :D.. But a couple of things are driving me nuts... one being the lousy camera positioning tools built into the client.. I'm probably doing it wrong, but I find it nearly impossible to get smooth pans/tilts/dollies/zooms with the camera controls, nor how to get rid of the $#$#$% cursors.. I know about the control-alt-1 to get rid of the UI, but the darned cursors are still there.. I read that there were some LSL functions in one of the recent upgrades that allowed scripting the camera.. I've seen no info on that either here or in the scripting forums, nor any tutorials on camera positioning.. I've tried searching the forums, but nothing appears on these topics... Please don't yell at me if I missed the info I seek...:)

Hi Anders!
Sometimes it's hit and miss on these forums.. You ask a question and everybody has an answer, and other times, you can hear the crickets chirping.. nothing... Since you're looking for the same info, I'll post anything I find here on the forum.... Good luck

well I have only made 1 movie and for the panning views i set up 2 prims linked with the base rotating, made them invisible and then alt zoomed onto it and just recored till i got some nice scenes

if you set your camera to the highest springy setting, when u fly and turn u get cool sorta 'bird like' views on ur av as if its really swurving around.

sorry thats the best info i can give

btw, i think the sl video recorder is more stable, i recorded the following video with it and i dont have a fancy computer... its just normal spec
