This is my first biggish machinima. The sound levels are all over the place and there are many editing points that could have been done better, but the bulk of it was a live event so my choice of shots was limited. I used the "shoot like hell and hope for the best" technique. I've been learning the editing software while making this film, but still know very little about exporting for the web and SL, so any comments on this issue would be appreciated.

Excellent movie... well presented theme, pacey and keeps you watching until the end.

My advice, keep doing more and more, develop your own style. Coordinating actors with the lack of fluid movement in the SL platform is potentially going to be anyones biggest hurdle, try FilmPath, I've heard its very good to create predictable pathways for machinima. I have not used it myself, but have heard positive comments about it from other machinimaist.

You may also try using chroma keying, shooting scenes in a studio and overlaying into backdrops may help with predicting speed and movement.

Using the Ken Burn technique also helps with smooth panning.
