Awhile back I did a couple of movies in SL kind of based on what you'd see if someone showed you home movies. They're not perfect and meant to be for fun :). Check them out if you wish!

These are in wmv format at the moment so I apologize if you can't view them.

1st Movie
2nd Movie

I've also started experimenting with using movies for instructional purposes. I have a video for adding animations to your override streaming at my store in Chartreuse. This one is in quicktime format of course.

Aww! I like both movies. The commentary made it feel very personal and put me right at ease as if I was just watching this in a friend's living room. Great job. :)

Nice Torrid! The machinima possibilities were one of the things I found fascinating about SL; I have a couple ideas for projects, but have to get more comfortable in-world first.
Again, great job!

Thanks everyone, I'm really glad you like them :). I enjoyed it a great deal and I look forward to seeing what others do. Good luck with your projects Toni! :)

I really like Tor's AO video tutorial because it's one of those things that you can throw many words at, and it's ineffectual. Actually seeing--and hearing Tor's voice--is a much richer experience.

It makes me think of how many things would be served better via multimedia video. I mean, this is actual footage from within SL!

It's very direct.

I love those, they almost seemed like home movies. Good choice on the music.

Very well done. Makes tutorials, manuals and such so much easier and interesting. Could be a welcomed addition on site at stores etc. Love the voiceover and music also! :)
