Just finished a 10 minute movie for the Modavia Fashion Week 2009, you can see a preview here http://www.wba-advertising.com/modavia/modavia_fashion_week_2009.htmlIt took around 20 hours editing... a bit of time was spent editing out jerky movements due to the appauling state of the platform. 163gb raw data went into this one. I'm using a new template now for pre-publishing.. made some alterations to the programme that I use to add code to the compressed header. This movie is 720x480 native. This is a preview version, it may change, depending on the client. The same link will work for any updated added.

The editing is great, but for me some scenes need a bit slow motion, especially the scenes where the models wear flexi skirts.

Thanks for the comment.. it urged me to look more at certain scenes. I have 'tweened' quite a few scenes, and took the opportunity to add some more effects which were missing from the first cut. Albeit I didn't think they were missing, but thats tinkering for you lol. The same link now hosts the revised version.
Some of the scenes did slow better than others, this is simply because the data is there to do it.
I've also now been using a different technique for producing a resolution that will transfer to YouTube, play direct from the internet in its existing format and play in SL. All at 640x470 resolution.
Consider that YouTube will try applying a 50% reduction on the DBR by squashing the colour depth, reducing the DPI and altering the pixel size and shape. SL is rendered inside a VR environment which has to cope with playing surface being dynamic in shape. This output should be suitable for all three.
If there are any techniques in making the movie (not the rendering output) that you may want to know how I did it, post the query here and I'll do my best to answer it.

I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of the models against the logos on this video AWM, gives it a real dynamic look.

From: Robertt Avro I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of the models against the logos on this video AWM, gives it a real dynamic look. Thanks The most interesting, and perhaps quite easy to acheive, was the Malt one, towards the end. These are the layers I used, In top down order: 1) Full chroma keyed movie of the model.. static walking animation, controlled movement across the screen and scale perspective via timeline (Ken Burn Technique) 2) Copy of the logo with chroma keying mask applied to the Logo area, added a slight blur to the edges to allow the appearance of rounding. 3) Copy of layer (1), increased alpha value to 60% to allow layer (4) to influence the chroma mask. Adjusted the movement timeline values to give perspective parallexing movement. 4) Copy of the logo, uneditied. In the first edit version of the movie, I had no effect applied to that section. I'm glad I revistited it and applied this relatively simple but effective treatment.
