I now have Vista and for some reason crtl alt f1 doesn't hide the UI. I haven't been on in ages though, am I doing something wrong? Maybe I have forgotten the correct command :/

You may need to open up the advanced menu for this, not 100% sure, some of the advanced menu shortcuts wont work unless that menu is open, control-alt-d I think...
