Hi,

I wasn't sure if this was the right place to post.

I'm looking to test some live streaming (capturing live from SL) relaying over a webpage and/or inworld too, similar to the setup Linden Labs used to have on the homepage...

Does anyone have access to a quicktime streaming server I can use for a few days to trial various formats and options? If so, perhaps send me an email to total.boffin@gmail.com

Thanks

Video Stream Server - Free 7 day trial

I have been experimenting with progressive and streaming quicktime movies and the following website has a free 7 day trial. They do progressive and streaming. Doesn't seem to make much of a difference to me so far.

http://streamhoster.com/

You just upload your movie to their ftp, then login to your acct on their website to retrieve a special URL that you can use with land parcel video.

This is the first place i've tried...are there any others?

Don't even google Stream Hosters... they all charge $4.00 per view or at least $100 per month. I'm looking elsewhere. If I find an affordable solution I'll post it here.

Actually i'm on their $15/month plan. $4 per play? That'd have to be a huge movie. Are you sure we are talking about the same place?
