I am trying to capture a movie in SL, but how do change it's resolution so that it captures properly?
I have tried before, but it uses the full resolution that Sl is being played in?
Thanks

What program are you doing the capture with?
You can use Sizer to set screen resolutions: http://www.brianapps.net/sizer.html . _____________________

Fraps captures uncompressed footage, so you need to edit what you capture to make it usable. Start small - take a minute of video then try editing using a free or inexpensive program to see if you like doing machinima.

Start small - take a minute of video then try editing using a free or inexpensive program to see if you like doing machinima. Fraps, like my personal favourite Hypercam, have the facility to capture and save using a preset codec. Whilst you may save HD space and potentially gain some smooth movie footage, they may not be high quality data. If your intensions are to simply show what you capture, with minimal editing and or effects, rendering etc, then that maybe all you need. _____________________
