I need to know where I can find a form or something about how to make a movie in SL? Can you please send it to me in game on a notecard to April Lemay please please ty. Is there a special program you need to make it or what?

well... the VERY basics.... maybe Fraps/Hypercam to grab the footage in a controlled way (depending on your OS), if windows, then movie maker is the very basic editing programme. Learn how to setup the environmental editor to control lighting and atmospherics for shooting frames.
Stick the result on youtube probably and ur done.

Hi SueZanneC,

I downloaded this program and find that the quality of the playback is lacking. For instance lighting on a wall seems pixelated as if using "postersize" in Photoshop. I have messed around with different codecs under video options, and also set playback to 30 fps and set quality to max.

The site for this otherwise friendly and decent software claims production quality results but I am not achieving this. I am comparing quality with fraps as that is post production I am familar with.

*edit* I have posted the vid on You tube for viewing. I notice that while playing the video on you tube it plays extremely fast as in fast forward or something. The quality looks even worse on You tube than in Windows Media Player on my laptop...

If you are capturing at say 30fps, then render the movie at 30fps, then upload the movie to YouTube, the flv codec maybe defaulting to 25fps, which can cause this effect.

I suggest that you take a look at Torley Linden's little tutorial video of making an SL video in wegame (download for free from www.wegame.com)

It is a simple program which you can make your first game video in within about 15 minutes.

Tutorial is on the SL website blog;
