Hey all, does anyone know a way to turn off the white floaty particles that appear after people touch scripted objects and such. When filming live this becomes an issue, I continually have to stop, turn the UI back on, and turn it back off to get rid of them as they build up with say a crowd of people. I'm not sure I can explain it any better If anyone can help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not seeing any settings attached to that :/
That various "chat" particles come out of llviewerpartsource.cpp, if you were up to hacking into that and rolling your own viewer, that's where to take the machete.
If you're not interested in getting into that, there is a plan B, obscure it. Inside the SL application folder, under skins/default/textures, is a file called pixiesmall.j2c. That is the particle dot. You could get a clear j2c, rename it to pixiesmall.j2c, and replace the original. Experimenting with that here, changing the file seems to take effect immediately.
Kind of fiddly, but maybe worth it for something like this?

Thanks Viktoria, I will check into replacing the particle with transparent texture.

Under world there is render- types- particles. make sure there is not check mark next to particles and then you're good to go I think that's it. If you still have problems let me know. I'd go check but I'm not at home.
