Simply making a .mov and uploading it to any standard webspace works well enough if you're not bothered about people's videos being in sync. Then just set the parcle's midia stream to the URL of the file.

but what if you wish to have audio at the same time as the video stream? How do you go about doing that?

Not quite sure what you mean. Can't you just make it part of the video?

video stream

No...unfortunately it has to be separate from the music....We will be broadcasting a live DJ'd music stream, and then want the video stream, with no audio, to co-incide with the music....I've seen this done at certain SL night clubs such as the DJ Both Movie Screens: A club by Maczt in Arena 129,68,57 I tried IM'ng the owner of the club to ask him how he does this, but he never got back to me....
When I was looking at the "About Land" media, there is the music URL link, then underneath that there is "with content from this URL?" what the heck is that?
Eggberta :0) P.S thanks for getting back to me

Put the URL for the music stream in the top textbox and the URL for the video in the bottom one. Getting them perfectly synchronised is pretty much impossible though, you might be better off muxing the two before transmitting it and just using the video stream. Afraid if you're wanting live visuals I don't actually know what to use for that, soz.

Once you've filled in the media stream url simply pick a texture and drop it into the grey box with the cross though it. Wherever you use that texture in world is where the video will be displayed. You might need to check the checkbox as well, depending on the screen you've made.

p.s...

Synching up the music to the video won't be necessary....the video is a compliation of artsy fartsy "still" shots and some random art house"film clips" that really have nothing to do with the music, it's just "eye candy" to go along with the stimulus of the music...ya know what I mean?
