Hi all,
I have always had an interest in writing film scores IRL. I was a composition minor as an undergrad and I scored a friend's film project in college. I would love to get involved with scoring machinima. Anyone out there who is making films and would like to collaborate, please drop me a line!
Best, Mari

I would love to have someone score my machinima. What sort of music are you most comfortable with? Do you have any examples of what you can do online? For instance I have a sort of action, adventure, James Bond-ish machinima in mind, would you be able to handle something like that?

Hey there,
I am going to be building a commercial for a product in the VERY near future for a contest. I am a member of a band and was considering getting them to play something for it, but I'd love to have something more theatrical for the project. Love to talk more with you about it if have the time. The contest is due in 3 weeks!
Cheers, Trent

Hi Trent and Kathmandu. Thanks for replying to my post! Likely the smaller the project I start with the better - I don't want to get overwhelmed, since I have relatively little experience the the technical aspects and I would be figuring things out as I go. Kathmandu, an action project sounds like a lot of fun! as for whether I could handle it, I think I would just have to try and see. How long are you planning to make your film? That would probably determine if it's sometjhing I should try working on early on in my budding machinima career or whether I should wait until have have more practice. Obviously, we would also need to see if our styles are a good fit, etc.. if you have any scenes shot or any storyboard ideas, I could create some music to go along and share it. Trent, what sort of comercial is it? Probably a commercial would be a good length for a first project - more info would be great. Same as I said above: Obviously, we would also need to see if our styles are a good fit, etc.. if you have any scenes shot or any storyboard ideas, I could create some music to go along and share it. -mari

-mari Hi there - as the project has really tight time-lines - I have made a music track for it at this point - which I am fairly happy with - but ALWAYS interested in doing more. Perhaps we could collaborate and find a style that fits us both for another commercial? The product is my GRIFFIN hoverbike. Filming is not complete but the audio score and voiceovers are down - which I want to leave in tact at this point to make sure we complete the project on time. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you! Lets meet in world and let you have a look at the product and we can throw around some ideas? Cheers Trent
